Musings, Waffling, Whatever...

Having seen some light at the end of the tunnel during the week before buying the bike brought me a few moments of intense joy. Needless to say, the sound of every Harley immediately caught my ear during the last weeks. And looking at bikes on the internet made me feel like a kid in a candy store! Happy as a duck!

This month has been really arduous, having to deal with disappointments and frustration almost every day, from the motorcycle business to small stuff like finding a place to stay for the next night. Progress has come in the smallest possible steps, meanwhile time and money were ticking down. But maybe having overcome those hurdles will make the eventual tour even sweeter.

I think one of the most difficult things on projects like this is to accept that things are not going to go down according to your own conceptions. Sometimes it seems more or less every plan you make is going to be overturned by events on that day. Later on the road, eventually, I think the aim is to let go of plans altogether and just let things flow, let them happen as they do anyway. I am honestly looking forward to it.
